The Citadel of Cairo begun by Salah al-Din (knows
as Saladin in the West) who reigned 1171 to 1193. Salah al-Din is the Kurd
that led the
Arab armies against the Crusaders. He not only captured Henry Lionheart of
England, he recaptured Jerusalem and drove the Crusaders from
the Holy Land.
